Guitar Pro – Commercial score editor that features a playback engine similar in function to a basic sequencer and mixer. Includes features like comprehensive import and export to and from many formats, finger notation, pick direction and an extremely large user base. A large portion of the properly formatted tablature you will find online is written for Guitar Pro format (*.gp*). I use this software every single day, usually for hours at a time, for teaching, learning and transcribing. Many of the guitar playing examples on this site will be available in Guitar Pro format.
